Lyra as a name (probably named after the musical instrument) became somewhat popular after Golden Compass and Golden Compass is just Chronicles of Narnia for atheists.

for a while i was down a rabbit hole of science fi stories about humans being the last hope of whatever alien race, and for some reason the highest admirals were always named Chen, the comments sections would get upset if the Chen dynasty didn't have a hand in saving the day😂
