I always wonder… What if Samson had asked God for mercy instead of asking to die with his enemies? What if Adam had humbled himself instead of blaming the woman beside him? I remember when David slept with Uriah’s wife and deliberately sent Uriah to the battlefield to die. Yet when David genuinely repented and cried out for God’s mercy, God forgave him, even though he still faced the consequences of his actions. David was still known as a man after God’s own heart. No matter how damaged we think we are, there is always room for God’s mercy when we sincerely seek it. No matter how heavy our sins may seem, He is able to forgive, cleanse, and renew us. Though He is a consuming fire, He is also a compassionate and merciful God. There is power in asking for His MERCY. 🥰

No, he did not go to hell. He realized his mistake and genuinely repented, which is why the Spirit of the Lord came upon him again before his death. His death was a consequence of the law that governed Israel at that time, where the penalty for sin could be death. We see a similar principle in the case of Eli and his sons. Eli's sons committed serious abominations in the house of the Lord, and although Eli knew about their actions, he failed to restrain them. Because of this, God withdrew the promise that his priestly lineage would continue forever and judged his household. Samson understood the judgment he deserved under the law, which is why he asked to die with his enemies. However, dying under God's judgment does not automatically mean he went to hell. The fact that the Spirit of the Lord returned to him before his final act is a strong indication that God had accepted his repentance and empowered him to fulfill his last assignment.
