The romantic pairing is frustrating because both characters have the raw potential to view each other as actual brothers, but fans always reduce everything to lazy tropes or a new flavor of SuperBat. It sucks seeing characters stripped down to just that. Looking at how badly the writers fumbled SBP's 5 issue spotlight, it is clear they know a chunk of the fanbase will eat up absolute garbage. It is like being served 98% mud and 2% grass at a 5 star restaurant, yet people still praise the grass just because their standards are so low. Plus, replacing Roy Harper would completely tarnish the canon, since Roy was the only one who stuck by Jason and anchored him at his absolute lowest. Instead of cheap fanservice, the writers need to focus on personal identity, social expectations, and how both characters struggle to find a place where they belong. The teases prove the writers are digging into Jason's history, so hopefully they actually deliver something meaningful. A 4-6 issue arc where they are forced to team up is great. They can realize they are not that different and exchange real benefits without becoming a permanent duo. Jason does not need help with his anger anymore, but he could finally get closure on his resurrection. Facing the kid who accidentally caused his revival lets Jason settle an existential debt, allowing him to look at a broken boy and repay that cosmic “accident” with pure, non-judgmental understanding. Just realized it sounds like a hate paragraph.. well, to an extent, I loathe the idea, but fans are free whatever they want.

omg yes thank you nobody’s talking about how prime is directly connected to jason’s resurrection. especially since jason still doesn’t know how he resurrected in the comics and prime should know canonically. primehood could be a really deep story if explored more 🥹 but most people don’t even really know prime so what can we say?

i was thinking this as well, there’s a lot of potential for their similar character arcs to be explored as well as jason’s resurrection and it would make me sad to see that go to waste just for lols
