In my head it’s like this: 10% of 800 is 80, divided by 2 is 40, which again equal 5%. 50% of 800 is 400, minus 40, which comes to 360.

Really interesting question, how people break this down . At school they used to callmit dart board maths, manageable chunks. 10% of 800 = 80 5% of 800= 40 (1/2 of 10%) 50% of 800 = 400 - 40 = 360 or 80 x 4 = 320 + 40 = 360 10% x 4 = 40% + 5% = 45% = 360
