@thinkingcanine: This dog didn’t like a stranger getting in their face. It’s reported that the woman had had some drinks, and this may have added to the situation. This is about, chaotic environment for a dog… and I think not every dog belongs here. Or maybe any dog. But who is at fault?
never get in the face of a strangers dog, if you ask to pet, then just keep it at arms length and just a quick pet and move on.

completely disagree with this one. no issue with the dog being out. this happened because she stuck her face too close to his and over his. you obviously should never stick your face in a dog's face, especially one you don't know, this is completely her fault. doesn't look like the dog has 'bitten' at all, just snapped which is a natural warning. really liked your content before but this makes me think I shouldn't be so quick to trust 🤣

The dog would have been fine. That lady was not only in his face but invaded his personal face. She was a stranger to the dog. Totally her fault for being too comfortable and not reading the signs

The dog is clearly fine in the bar/brewery. Most dogs would not be able to relax and lay down if they were anxious in the space. The issue was the lady getting in his face, and the owner not advocating for his space by letting her do that. This doesn’t seem like a dog that shouldn’t be in public or is a risk to people. This is a dog with normal boundaries and good bite inhibition, because he corrected her with teeth after she ignored his other warnings, but he didn’t bite hard or draw blood. Looked a lot like the type of correction I see dogs give to really pushy puppies.

This was definitely her fault. Wish people understood that animals are like us in you don’t just need to come up and invade their space. We don’t want random strangers coming up and touching us and for most animals I feel it’s the same. Definitely her fault for putting herself in this situation with a strangers dog. But I do agree with you that the owner shouldn’t have the dog out in such a highly populated area if it is reactive to strangers. Never understood why people feel the need to take their dogs any and everywhere.

you can see the dog lean back right before hand to make space and the lady takes that as chance to lean in further and over the dog. But 100% right, events like that are not fun for dogs. Even a friendly dog is likely ro have heightened anxiety and stress in a situation like this.

but it is her fault. the dog was laying there comfortably and she came to bother and invade his space. she is a grown adult, drunk or not, and she shouldn't just bother strange dogs.

It is her fault. Anyone who’s ever been around any dog ever should know to stay out of a dogs face. ANY dog. My husband is blind, and we got him a Guide dog so that he could go out and have some sort of quality of life. People will NOT leave them alone, so they still can’t go out. Any dog will snap. It’s 100 her fault
