No one HAS to use chat gpt for anything but it certainly can make things a whole hell of a lot easier and more time efficient. And I guarantee no one is using it for "every single question." This is a bit hyperbolic.

I grew up with technology being a facet of daily existence. It wasn't all that new, I knew how to type on a flip phone, and use a computer, and type over 130/wpm. The age of technology is something I've always known. So when I have a question about anything in the world I can't ask a human being about, I LOOK IT UP. All recorded human knowledge sits at my fucking fingertips and I have a search engine to find it. Not a fucking robot that hallucinates and can be influenced to push an agenda.

I'm so tired of folks using AI to do even their bare bones, bare minimum thinking for them. Somebody in my local forum asked the other day where they could catch a specific bus out of town, as there wasn't a leaving terminal specified (there's a few terminals around town) only the destination was specified. Somebody replied "i asked chatgpt and it said there are 8 buses leaving from [town] to [destination.]" like great, no kidding, they know that already, they need to know WHERE THE TERMINAL IS THAT THE BUSES ARE LEAVING FROM.
