The Workers' Party, aiming to secure votes in the Sengkang GRC (Group Representation Constituency) 2020 held by Dr. Lam and Ng Chee Meng, tried to avoid offending food delivery workers and refusing to cooperate with all town councils on the PMD issue. As expected, the Workers' Party won the Sengkang GRC. Ng Chee Meng, a former military officer, is known for his honesty, competence, and quiet nature; only recently appointed by the Prime Minister to serve the people. He is a truly capable individual but not eloquent; he would be unable to defend himself against opportunistic Workers' Party figures like Jamus Lim , Louis Chua, and He Ting Ru. Therefore, the question remains: do people want a smooth-talking, glib MP, or a pragmatic one?
