I wish they emphasized Red, Chloe, and Max’s reactions to that line; firstly for red getting flashbacks to her old life, Chloe who knows a certain portion of it, and max despite not favoring his dad too much still caring enough to maybe yk NOT want his dad dead😭

Red and Chloe's reactions were very weak imo. Red's expression should've been some kind of pure horror, because living with the original QoH—a tyrant, no less—must've left her traumatized. Red must've some kind of PTSD, and that line must've been a trigger. Plus, dww takes place right after dror, so Red didn't have time to process the trauma. It's a shame that this theme wasn't explored in any way in either film. As for Chloe, that line should have left a scar, too, given the context in which it was spoken.
