Title is a bit misleading. By opening a police station there will prevent neo-nazis from going to pay there respects to Hitler on his birthday. Every morning on Hitlers birthday the front of the building was covered with flowers and candles. People would travel from different places to do this. So putting a police station there, it will deter people from doing this. The building is connected to the rest of the building on the street, so for those who are saying to demolish it, you can’t without damaging the rest of the buildings. The house used to be a support center for people with mental delays, so the house has been used to help the community but it still drew a lot of neo-nazis.
