@shaktishambhala: 4 Somatic Movements to Release Hip Tension.. 🧠 Stress can change the way we breathe and increase unconscious muscle guarding around the hips, pelvis, and lower back. This gentle sequence uses slow, rhythmic movement to improve hip and spinal mobility, increase body awareness, and help the body shift out of constant bracing. 👀 Squat rocks add grounding through the feet and gentle weight shifting. Knees-to-chest rocks provide a supported, soothing movement through the pelvis and back. Supine windshield wipers encourage relaxed hip rotation and spinal movement, while reclined butterfly to supine fold alternates between opening outward and drawing inward. 🏳️ Move slowly enough to notice sensation, keep your breathing natural, and stay within a comfortable, pain-free range. The aim is not to force flexibility, but to create greater ease, awareness, and a sense of safety within the body. Suggestion: Try each move for 60 seconds for 1-3 sets or simply listen to your body and do what feels right for you. ⚠️Always consult your healthcare practitioner before engaging in any exercise program. ✨Gentle Squat Rocks: Begin in a comfortable squat with your feet grounded. Keep your chest lifted and gently shift your weight from side to side. Move slowly, stay within a comfortable range, and use a support or elevate your heels if needed. ✨Knees-to-Chest Rocks: Lie on your back and hug both knees toward your chest. Slowly rock from side to side or forward and back using a small, controlled movement. Let your shoulders stay relaxed and avoid forcing the motion. ✨Supine Windshield Wipers: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet wider than your hips. Let both knees slowly fall from side to side while keeping the movement smooth and comfortable. Allow your pelvis to rotate naturally and keep your shoulders relaxed. ✨Reclined Butterfly to Supine Fold: Lie on your back and bring the soles of your feet together, allowing your knees to open into reclined butterfly. Slowly bring your legs together and extend them toward the ceiling, reaching toward your feet or holding behind your thighs. Keep your lower back gently grounded throughout the movement, relax your neck and shoulders, and move only within a comfortable range. #yoga #mobility #stretching #workoutmotivation #motivation
