this isn't a typical level of bleeding - I've not come across your page before so forgive me if I'm asking questions you've already answered but have you spoken to a doctor about this? my mum had debilitatingly heavy periods and she ended up getting a thermal ablation which improved things for her SO much. she went from bleeding through a tampon plus night pad in an hour meeting, to using the smallest thinnest pads and only changing them because they were getting old not because they were getting full

The coil saved me when I hit perimenopause. I was anemic from such heavy flow. The coil stopped all periods. On my second one.

Period pants alongside tampons plus transexamic acid help me. I’ve had heavy periods for years and just found out I’ve got fibroids which may be the cause.

Period underwear, I tried eveything beforehand and It’s honestly the best thing I’ve found, I use Tesco and wuka period knickers and I won’t be going back to pads or tampons- I hope you find something that works for you soon 😊

I am peri menopausal for nearly 9 years now - I still get periods and I am 54, they were very regular up till about 3 years ago and now I get 6 week periods, nothing for a few weeks then another 6 week period. Please don’t assume going into menopause, actual menopause is 24 hours, is easy way out of periods. If you are this heavy you need to see your doctor.

Menstrual cups have changed my life! Zero leaks, can go upto 12 hours between emptying too. The only bad thing is that I didn't I discover them until I was 35 and not in my teenage years!!! For the people saying about period pants - these are not great imo, especially if you are prone to clots - they just sit on the surface like rancid jelly They are also recommended to change them upto four times a day to reduce discomfort/dampness and weird aromas.

I was chronically anemic due to heavy periods for years, it was only because I moved to a new Dr's that they finally decided to investigate.. Turns out I have fibroids and ovarian cyst, I'm on the mini pill to manage periods while I wait for surgery.

i'm going through early peri-menopause at the moment, but I was the same as you beforehand. it sucks and i'm so sorry. peri isn't much more fun tbh, but whilst I now sometimes have month long periods, they are lighter, and then I'll go a few months without anything. sending you love.
