people keep debating this without looking at how Grounder society actually functioned. Grounders simply didn't view teenagers as minors the way we do, to them, if you could hold a sword or lead a clan, you were an adult. Their entire concept of maturity was built on survival, combat and rites of passage, where kids were trained to fight and die in wars rather than following Ark laws or modern age of consent rules. As a viewer today, seeing an adult warrior with a teen is naturally going to feel uncomfortable, and that real world discomfort is totally valid! But you can't evaluate dystopian survival rules using modern suburban standards without ignoring the show's actual lore.
