Not saying it doesn’t happen but this is a dumb video. Gym floors are packed. Wherever your eyes land for two or three seconds while you catch your breath, someone is usually in that direction. Blank, unfocused stares are the default recovery behavior for a lot of men. Looking at the floor or a wall is common precisely because people have learned that any prolonged glance can get clipped and framed as predatory. That is not “creepy intentional staring.” It’s rest + spatial coincidence.
The videos that go viral almost always use selective framing: the camera is already on the guy, the woman is positioned so it looks like his eyes are locked on her, and the clip starts or ends at the moment that maximizes the implication. Pause the video a second earlier or later and the same guy is usually looking past her, at equipment, or at the floor. The “most men stare at me creepily” claim is built on the edited moment, not the full context.
Men do not post the reverse version for views because it does not pay. A man filming women and claiming “look how they all stare at me” gets zero sympathy and a lot of ridicule. The same behavior framed the other way gets engagement, comments, and algorithm boost. That incentive difference explains the volume of one-sided content far better than any sudden epidemic of male creepiness.
If the standard is “any time a person of the opposite sex is in your field of view while you’re resting = intentional creepy stare,” then the charge applies equally in both directions and becomes meaningless. The actual difference is who gets rewarded for turning ordinary gym dead-eye into content

I am 6ft 6in tall and 275lbs, so I love to stare and wink at creepy men when I catch them being like this. Sometimes if they don't stop I'll walk up and say "Hey cutie, can I get your number?" and when they act offended or whatever I say "Oh is it weird when some random guy makes you uncomfortable when you are trying to work out? Interesting."

Seriously, a man, whose married btw, literally told me, to my face, that he wanted me and when I pointed out “you’re married” he said “I’m married, not dead”
