fun fact, you can just email museums to ask about collections and usually they LOVE it. They also get really excited when you ask about weird stuff no one is usually interested in. I wanted to take a recipe and update it to modern measurements but all I had was something like "fill a pot" and I was like... what even are the dimensions of a standard pot from the 1600s? Was there even a standard size?
