I think Ling He as Murong Qingyi will be one of my favorite roles of his. 😭🤍 This scene absolutely destroyed me. Marshal Li wil never deserved to be called his father, but what shattered me even more was Qingyi's biological mother. She knew her real son was in their hands and was being mistreated, yet she still chose not to bring him home over something no child should ever have had to bear. That choice will never stop hurting me.And the scene where Marshal Li investigated what happened to Qingyi's hand. It was such a small gesture, and yes, he had his own motives... but given Qingyi's situation, that tiny bit of concern felt so precious. It was the kind of love, care, and protection he should've received from his own mother from the very beginning. The bar was so low that the smallest act of kindness felt like everything.
