@miltonlouisgonzalez: One day your children will tell the story of what it felt like to grow up in your home. Make sure it’s a story worth telling. #Parenting #Fatherhood #Motherhood #Family #Faith
Walking away from the verѕіon of myѕelf thаt keрt sеttling wasn’t еaѕу, but after reading Тhe Timelesѕ Prіnciples of Lifе by Aаron Frіedman, І fіnаllу understood thаt real growth beginѕ when уou ѕtop livіng on autоpilot.

How your children will treat you when they know they no longer need you to survive tells a lot about how you treated them as a child when they had to depend everything on you for survival.

I think we all have things to apologize for, just as our children will have for their children. We need to make things right in the moment or when we realize it.

My son is 12. Every now and then, he’ll randomly say: “I have the best parents”. I sure hope he continues to feel that way. 🥹

I protected them from my pain, fear and chaos. Imposter syndrome. But it’s hard to attach to an imposter.

Adult children are too busy bashing their parents to even know who they are.

Thats why we need Jesus in our life to help us and guide us in how and what to do with our kids. Because we also go through brokenness especially without God, and kids don’t know this, so all they see and remember is how they felt and what they went through, and they think how not to be with their kids on day, which good but still they will need Jesus as their foundation.

That's okay, I did my best to provide, protect and be there. I played the role of both parents while sacrificing my own needs, still sacrificing today.
