I believe the inspector of the county that required the permit should be held as liable as the contractor

did you expect a deck builder to reroute your dryer vent?

The exit is on the other side why are you making it seem like it just dumps out into the deck? I mean it’s still wrong but don’t trash someone for views

He’s a deck builder, dryer exhaust not his responsibility. Homeowner shoulda hired someone to move the exhaust before the deck work started

Hey, did you know contractors and inspectors are humans and miss things sometimes? What happens next is separates the good from the bad.

So if you think the dryer exhaust could ignite wood what do you think is happening to the rest of the house?

the contractor is in charge of the deck, not the mechanical exhaust just like the electrician is in charge of the electrical not the plumbing

I don’t think it’s your dryer vent. Looks like part of your air-conditioning tubes are running into the house.

I’ve worked in the fire industry for 17 years if that’s a fire hazard, a fire gets to the deck that House is already engulfed because most dryer vents are plastic

Great woodwork. You couldn’t build that deck in 10 years, also vent can easily been diverted.
