always watch the show or movie first, that way you can enjoy the movie for what it is, then read the book so you can love the book for what it is and then listen to the audio and blow your mind. you get 3 completely amazing experiences that stand alone. extra credit: read the book again and you hear and feel the characters even harder

Nice to see these lists not include Dungeon Crawler Carl sometimes. I mean I get everyone loves it but it’s already been beaten into the ground on recommendations. So I like to see new stuff more than just the same recycled recommendations

IMO sometimes it is actually better to read the book after you've seen the screen-adaptation, because the book will always be better. So in this order, you will not be as disappointed by the movie/series as you would be if you read the book before. I remember seeing the TV adaptation of "It" when I was a teenager and I loved it. Then I read the book and was blown away...
