@therealaprilyvette: On the anniversary of the death of Malcolm-Jamal Warner, his widow Tenisha Warner filed a lawsuit against the Warner Family Trust, claiming Malcolm failed to secure a $1M insurance policy per a premarital agreement in May 2022, where Tenisha would have been the sole beneficiary. Tenisha filed the lawsuit on July 20 in Dekalb County, GA, the one year anniversary of Malcolm’s death. A breakdown of the lawsuit shows Tenisha is suing for $1, 276,042.46 - $50,542.46 for an anniversary obligation outlined in the prenup as well, $30,500 for a Roth IRA obligation and $195,000 for a salary Tenisha says she is owed as she worked as Malcolm’s “chief of staff.” Pamela Warner is the successor trustee of the Warner Family Trust, established in 1996. Pamela shared a tribute to her late son on Monday, July 20, stating, “Please take care of urselves and those who you love. Let them know that they are loved. Clear up any beef you may have with your loved ones, if possible. Cleanse your spirt of negativity. We all have an expiration date. Don’t leave or let your loved one leave without them knowing that they are loved and treasured. That knowledge and ‘clean plate’ has helped me to survive.” Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Tenisha Warner shared one daughter, who is 8 years old. #celebrity #news #explore #viral #fyp

If it’s documented in the prenup that this was something that he agreed on just pay her off and be done.

The Warner Family Trust , was established way before her and he didn’t change anything because that’s what he intended. He was married for 10 years.

At the end of the road we can not take any material things with us including money. I feel regardless of documents she was his wife and they have a child together. Give her the money she is asking for and move on . The mother should be the bigger person in this

I believe Malcolm gave his mother instructions on what to do. And to only make sure that his only daughter was taken care of. Period. The wife wants more than she received.

The saddest thing is he spent his life living on the private side of Hollywood. Living a private life & staying out the media's way now this on the first year anniversary of his death. A sensitive matter involving family business such as this just wasn't for the public to know. This could've been done privately in respect to all involved especially the innocence of his Daughter. I truly hope they can come to a resolution in private. God Bless All🙏🏽✨️🙏🏽

A prenup is if they were to get a divorce not for death

She wasn't left empty-handed! He left an estate with assets that she gets, but it just doesn't have enough liquid cash to satisfy the full $1.2M prenup debt on its own. She's suing the trust for the difference to make the prenup whole, not because she got $0.

Why not give her that little bit and keep the peace . Obviously that’s what he would have wanted her to do .

A prenup can be exercised in infidelity or divorce not through death.

Think about the child in all of this it shouldn’t have to go this far, just give her something and keep the peace. He died unexpectedly.

The trust should ensure all the monies are distributed properly… of course the intent to care for wife and child should have been an understood support

If it was in the prenup, wouldn't she have to get it? And why didn't she make sure her husband got life insurance while he was still alive?
