My uncle had 3 boys and when he was sick none of them took care of him because he had issues with their mother omo this man sold every single property before he died, I mean houses and businesses, they didn’t get to inherit anything

Well not in Nigeria,we take care of our parents. My dad is retired in his 90's and permanently lives with my Eldest sister and her family. The caregiver we hired to take care of him when our mum died 6yrs ago wasn't taking care of him properly, my sister went to bring him from the village to Lagos.

From a logical angle, your Children do not owe you the burden of personally taking care of you at old age. That's why I will always advocate parents in their young age, prepare for their old age. Save, invest, have retirement plan. Do not burden your children at their growing age! At the end of of the day, you are all you got oooo! Na God I take beg you

I think it’s how you raise them… what do you as a parent teach them regularly on a daily basis. Do you teach them kindness, sacrifice, compassion? Do you spend time with them or are you always working?
