Cook the sticky rice with the water until tender. 2. In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves (don’t let it boil). 3. Mix ⅓ cup of the coconut sauce into the cooked sticky rice. Let it cool slightly. 4. Mix the cornstarch with the water and stir it into the remaining coconut sauce. Cook until slightly thickened. 5. Soften a rice paper sheet in warm water. 6. Spread a layer of sticky rice in the center, add sliced mango, then roll tightly like a spring roll. 7. maybe weird question.. i don’t want to be that person, but i’ve tried mango sticky rice several times and for some reason the coconut is just not for me but i LOVE the texture, do you think if i replaced the coconut milk with something like sweetened condensed milk or similar i’d get a similar texture with that same sweet taste?

Thai here, if you’re gonna wrap it with rice paper, please deep-fry it till crispy too. Pair that with an ice-cream and you get the higher tier of mango sticky rice.
