Biomedical Engineers are because it is reverse engineering the most advanced lifeform on Earth, in essence reverse engineering life itself, in essence reverse engineering the creator's intelligent design... while needing to know some chemical engineering, and incorporating other engineering practices along with chemical engineering.

I major in Chemistry undergrad and got a masters and was halfway to a PhD when I found out I didn’t like Chemistry that much and I went back to get a masters in chemical engineering and I’m so glad I changed this field is so cool

As PHD Chemical Engineer with a 40 year career behind me (hence the time to scroll on TikTok) I would say that Scientists, Material Science Engineers, and Electrical Engineers often exceed ChemE’s in depth of knowledge in defined areas but no discipline on Earth requires the breadth of technical knowledge to succeed than does Chemical Engineering.
