@drb_unfiltered: Hesitating before s//ggs doesn’t automatically mean you don’t want it. In my work, when it comes to ADHD, desire isn’t a simple yes or no for many. Your brain can immediately start mapping out the logistics of what comes next from the energy transition, the lost sleep, the mental demand, and how you’re going to feel tomorrow. If this is happening, you are dealing with an executive function barrier between wanting to do the thing and initiating the thing. If we keep mislabeling an energy/transition issue as a desire problem, we end up trying to solve the completely wrong thing. Next time you feel that hesitation, flip the question. Skip the part of asking why you don’t want this, and instead jump to asking what part of this transition feels too expensive right now for me?
