I’d have done what you did, “it’s AI, and if you’re okay with them not being the same I’m still happy to try”. I think it’s hard for folks to tell when they’re not sure what flaws to look for in both the pic and the nail art. They turned out so beautifully, though! Well done 💛

to add depth you can do a lighter/jelly colour of the base colour (blue) between each layer!

I think I would have started with a deep blue jelly, then did a layer of white coral, then a layer of blue jelly and repeated that for depth x2. orange coral on the top layer then top coat
