They’re not meant to be sterile guys lol. It’s a work uniform. If we need to be sterile treating patients we wear sterile gowns. Hope this helps!

Scrubs should be washed everyday and they are not meant to be sterile, they are a uniform. We use gowns if we need to go into a sterile field

Calling people “performative” for wearing scrubs in public is such a weird take. Most of us just finished a 10–12+ hour shift and are trying to grab groceries, gas, or get home. We don’t have the energy to do a full outfit change before living our lives.
