I’m on that small town’s Band Booster Board…the last week has been interesting for sure. However, we’ve also had a TON of support from all over the world. Including the mayor of Salem inviting the band to come visit! The “concerned citizen” pages have been some of the highest forms of entertainment I’ve had in a minute 🤣 you took me out with the mayor’s messy wife 😝

2 of my kids are in the band and the kids are excited about this show. They are working hard in the heat preparing to perform. This town is full of ignorance. These people need to show their support for these hardworking kids!

when I taught The Crucible in a rural, evangelical small town one year (not the first time it's been taught there, mind you, but I was different from the other teachers I guess) the kids started putting multiple Bible verses on my door, started a rumor that one of my tattoos of a book with fire coming out of it was a Bible burning, and that I was Wiccan. also a mom said she was fine if her kid was failing my class because I taught about the devil. you really can't write better irony. lol

this hubub resulted in the local spiritualists creating an official Wayne County coven, they accidentally got the witches to come out of the woodwork and band against this religious psychosis

My daughter is in marching band in middle Georgia and I wish I could download this to show her (she doesn’t have TT and doesn’t want it). Our theme is heavy metal 🤘 and live in a small rural town. I hope our bands cross paths during competition because I feel like this season is gonna be LIT 🔥
