When your barrier is like this completely dial back on actives and anything too occlusive. Flood system with anti inflammatories and eliminate other triggers (makeup, haircare depositing onto pillowcase etc). This is an absolute life saver for perioral dermatitis! When I feel a flare coming on I put this on at night like a mask it works great and the only thing that’s worked for me! I tried everything antibiotics, diaper cream etc. this is a life saver

Avoid high histamine foods. Tomato, avocado etc. so many healthy foods are high in histamine. It’s not forever but just to calm down your mast cells.

Have you done cosmetic patch testing at the allergist? Maybe there is a common ingredient in your skincare or makeup that you’re reacting to. Also would do food sensitivity & allergy testing if you haven’t already

I use rococo oil cleanser and the just ingredient toothpaste powder and mine went away so fast when I was pregnant. I was using toms no fluoride toothpaste and it was causing it actually even though it was no fluoride!

do you eat eggs by any chance? I found that eggs were a big trigger for my skin! I still flare after cutting them out but the flares dramatically decreased in severity.

Only use ketaconazole shampoo 2% as a face mask and leave it on for 5 minutes for a couple weeks (prescription from your derm if they agree). If it’s a fungal flare your skin will respond very quickly ❤️
