Moore was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police in 2025, and admitted guilt to one count of assault. Moore received a conditional discharge and 15 months of probation, meaning the offence will remain on his criminal record for three years before being removed if he complies with all probation conditions. The discharge could be revoked and replaced with a conviction if he breaches those conditions. At the time of his arrest, Moore also faced five additional charges, including three more assault allegations, uttering threats, and mischief causing under $5,000 in property damage. Those charges were withdrawn during the court proceedings. Moore played eight CFL seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes before retiring in 2021.
