Asked why I had been fired and they straight up told me it was bc I filed an HR report they just didn’t want to deal with it. They were NOT happy when they found out I was recording that convo (one party state 😎)

Friend of mine who was out of her office for a meeting got a call asking her to come to a meeting with her boss right then. It wasn't to be in her boss's office, but in a board room. So she was suspicious. She said "ok, on my way." She instead went back to her desk, packed up her stuff, downloaded information from her computer to a thumb drive, took everything to her car, and THEN sauntered into the boardroom to get fired by her boss and an HR rep. She asked why, they gave some lame answer, but the severance was large enough that she took the money and ran.

As a manager HR usually tells us not to talk or to follow a very limited script FYI - so if your manager isn’t saying much that’s probably why. Sorry 😕

I don’t do meetings without 24 hour notice. If I get a meeting on my calendar suddenly it’s an automatic deny. 😂 If I’m expected to give two weeks notice when I quit, you’re giving me as much time as possible to get my stuff together.

I live in South Carolina, and the problem with all of this is that in South Carolina employers can be as corrupt, unethical, Leezy, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it generally. Attorneys don’t have the balls to challenge employers which basically leaves the employee out in the cold. It’s really unacceptable.
