No, thank you. My HP laptop with Core Ultra 5 and 16 GB RAM with Windows 11 Home UI is adequate for the job. There's more to a laptop than a UI.

having the UI as the selling point for a laptop for engineering is... a choice. macbooks are nice, but if you're a student with student money there's tonnes of used ThinkPads for bargain prices that make great machines and are used everywhere from SAAS startups to the ISS.
