@livingmy_wanderlust: The heat index said “feels like 98” but that felt more like 110! #romeitaly #travelitaly #italywithkids #italytrip #italyvacation
We made the trip to Rome in July a few years ago, and it was brutal! The Vatican Museum tour with no air-conditioning was insanity. I remember feeling the sweat dripping down the entire time.

I feel for you. Europe is no joke in the summer, plus really no AC to retreat into. Maybe shoot for the bigger museums that might likely have AC during the hottest hours and take either the earliest or latest outdoor tours. Sending you cooling vibes from southern USA.😊

The middle part of Italy, Tuscany, Roma, etc. are extremely hot during the Summer. People need to do research BEFORE traveling especially with kids. 🙄

timing is everything for these types of vacations — set out early in the AM for main sightseeing, up until around 11 or lunchtime then eat, shower, nap, head back out after 6pm 😮💨

Not blaming you but Europe has been miserable the past few summers. I learned the hard way in 2023. I’d rather go in Fall or Winter now.

We just got back from Italy with four kids. So hot but we knew it would be. We didn’t really mind it that much and we are from California so we aren’t used to heat. Started in Rome so we could go south to the beach towns. This is our fourth summer in Italy so we knew what to expect.

I went to the Amalfi coast a few summers ago and there were grown men passing out. It was SO hot - and we were on the coast!
