You didn’t fail your kids. I too am fighting those thoughts after leaving a 10 year marriage myself, but it’s better the kids see you not struggling in something not working than to think they have to stay where they aren’t happy. I promise you, your kids love you and you absolutely are NOT a failure to them!

I’ve been where you are. In 2018 my wife left me and took my kids to NC, 2 states away. I was 41 at the time and thought the same things you are. Now, 8 years later, I am now happily married to my true partner and doing quite well professionally, if not financially. My relationship with my boys isn’t great, but I’m working on that. I gained 2 amazing stepkids that keep my going. I’m genuinely happier than I ever thought I could be. Keep moving forward a day at a time. You will heal and gradually make the moves that might just lead to better life than you ever imagined.

Lean on friends and family...its not easy...ending a relationship and losing a child. One day and one step at a time. Keep things off all social media for sure...until youre ready and everything is settled. Im so sorry
