No cause when they asked me if I was claustrophobic I imagined an elevator I was like no I’m good. GIRL WHY DID THEY SHOVE ME IN A STRAW … i guess i am claustrophobic lol

I had an mri i am not claustrophobic but man! I was in there for 2 hours (was supposed to be 30 minutes.) I have scoliosis and my back was killing me!!!

Not claustrophobic but I’ve previously had brain surgery and the back of my head is 100% not smooth or level and it’s ridiculously uncomfortable to lay on, yet I get to have a yearly MRI to watch for any potential changes post-op. I’ve tried to talk them into a pillow but the most I’ve gotten away with is a folded washcloth because I still have to fit in the little head cage thing. 😔

I had a 2 hr mri w a cage over my head and I just have them cover my eyes w a towel or something so that even if I open my eyes I can’t see and I take a ton of melatonin and call it a day 😂

i found out i was claustrophobic just by thinking of cave diving like absolutely not . then i think about being stuck in an elevator or stuck in my car after an accident… my brain is not a safe place apparently 😂

I’m the same way. Last time I requested an open machine. They didn’t do it!!! I had to suffer through over an hour of scans with the cage on my face! 🫣😭

I have had full body mri and they literally lock my whole body in and I can’t move my head is in the cage and my arms and legs have those weights on them so I can’t move them😭😭

Yes!! I have to do the Ativan dance to do my MRI’s every 4 months for my brain tumor. Last time I had to ask another lady to help my open my locker to get my clothes out .🤣 I said I can’t unlock this I’m super sedated 🤣🤣🤣

same here! the last one i had, the lady told me how long each scan was since they do several. it made it seem more like small bites rather than a whole appointment.

I have to take medicine every time I have to do one to bc I’m the same way but the last one wasn’t to bad it’s after that gets me it makes my back hurt so bad from laying there for so long

My husband has to use a wide bore machine too or else he can’t make it 2 mins in a regular machine. He said the wider ones are so much better

I had an MRI and I was only put in halfway but all the noises and the small movements made me feel horrendous for the entire rest of the day. It was so disorienting

Girl I’m currently stressing because I have a head one next week and I’m extremely claustrophobic. But my brain needs some pictures taken. She thinks she can act up and get away with it. 😭😭

I had one as a kid and that’s how I found out I was clausterphobic as well. They had to knock me out bc I wouldn’t stop screaming lol
