I’m the ex that said that & I genuinely feel that way, I poured so much into the relationship that I forgot to care about myself, I gained 20 pounds which is a lot, I had no hobbies/life outside of my relationship, I also felt very depressed because I couldn’t stop thinking about the ways I’ve been wronged which caused resentment & yes I communicated, soooo much & it felt like it was going nowhere & I had to leave for me & my mental health and make myself better. I owe myself that much.
