I think it’s so unfair that the grown man who failed to protect his people is harping on the guy who was 12 when he found out about the ongoing war and how he is the avatar destined to restore balance not only in the ongoing war but even after during the years of peace (assuming he succeeded) like dude if you as a grown individual didn’t stop the fire nation, a 12 year old AIR BENDER would definitely get stomped and just begin the avatar cycle again… the only way I could understand his logic is if he was projecting and he secretly was blaming himself the whole time

The avatar isn’t even supposed to learn they are the avatar till they are atleast 16. They had to break that rule for Aang because of the 100 year war. He was 12 being told HE HAD TO STOP A ENTIRE Nation. Imagine being 12 and being told you have to stop America???? Like how could you even compare that

“Aang trusted Tagah TOO FAST!!! Korra could never.” Yall cannot compare Korra and Aang to each other. They are completely different people, Aang suffered so much with the pain,grief,trauma, and guilt he had of always being told “you abandoned the air benders and the whole world”. Him and Tagah had a genocide in common, this was also the first airbender he has talked to in over 125+ years. Cut Aang slack seriously, and stop comparing Aang to Korra and Korra to Aang. They go through different situations.

If he didn’t run, all the airbenders would’ve been wiped out. He was a child. A boy. If u as a person expect a child to be ready for war you’ve failed at being a good person. Aang was scared, he can be he was a child, but even though he ran he kept the airbenders alive and eventually with the help of his children, Korra was able to bring them back. Balance is the point of the show. Good and bad and to think that a child should deal with these issues even if he is the avatar is so wrong
