it is interesting that before, people were upset that Asgore got so much hate in Undertale, but now that the human souls have been, well, humanized, people are beginning to understand just how horrible his actions were. Like he's always been a child murderer, but now we've gotten to know and befriend the children, and it makes Asgore come off as much more of a monster than before.

Insane how people criticize Asgore but not FLOWEY, when he has killed over and over, resetting the timeline, killed again, ALL for his own gain. Not to help the others, his parents, only himself. Asgore had a reason to kill, and he felt sorrow over the lives lost to achieve this for his people. He felt regret and remorse. Flowey is let off scot-free because he was Asriel, and Asriel can apparently do no wrong!

Asgore wasn't wrong toriel was for leaving her people out to dry also. asgore knew destroying the barrier wasnt going to solve the issue of being slaughtered the moment monsters left the underground. a smarter option is to collect human solves and give it to all of your boss monster and wage a resistance which even this monster kind would of likely still lost

i like to imagine asgore asked each and every one of them how the would have wanted their bodies to be treated. he would have made sure everyone knew how brave orange was, how smart seth was. he would have buried blue and yellow together (because yellow asked him to). you know what i mean? asgore can't be ever forgiven for his actions, but i think he's the kind of man to have made sure every soul he took was cared for.
