the health monitoring gadget to health anxiety pipeline needs to be studied. I got it in my head that I might have symptoms of colon cancer, so I started tracking my weight to look for unexplained weight loss, which made me anxious so I started losing weight, which made me more anxious

My dad is one of seven boys and they get really competitive. One time my mom walked into the living room at my grandma’s house and my dad and his brothers were competing to see who could get their blood pressure the lowest. Think she made my dad go to therapy after that 😂

Hate it when I’m in the doctors office and while taking my BP the nurse expects me to answer questions! Excuse me, I’m working hard to breathe deeply and relax so I don’t get put on any meds!

I built an app for myself to record my BP every day and track if I did the lifestyle things (low sodium, banana, exercise, Medicaid, no alcohol, etc) because just taking the bp and not tracking it like a freak didn't seem right.
