what they don't tell you is any property that the person receiving the services owns, goes to the government to repay the cost of providing services, they'll take house, car, everything. and don't try and keyboard warrior this, they took my grandma's home that had been in the family 60 years

Florida here- Medicaid program- caregiver has to pass a background check- the program is supplemental- maybe 40 hours a week for someone who needs complete and total care- no overtime- 13.00 an hours- it’s not a job replacement program- you’d be lucky to get close to 20 hours a week

No thank you…. I had to support my mother when I was growing up, I’ve raised my husband (cuz his mother never did), and raised my own children…. I have no intention of taking care of anyone else in this life.

My wife takes care of her sister. She’s on oxygen and has a bad heart. It’s an extra 21 hours of pay. It’s part time. It is real!
