I have a patch of alopecia on the top of my head and others on my body (I have an autoimmune diseases and I'm sure it's from that.) Its so stressful to worry about how others perceive you and your looks... but you look beautiful and it's inspiring to see your friends surrounding and helping you during such an emotional time.

This happened to me at 45. The only thing thag worked was nightly 5 min scalp massage with my fingers. Just put my head down and massaged. No products no oils because the oils clogged my scalp.

I started going bald at 18, I'm 44 and have completely forgotten how hair feels. I love going to the barber for a straight razor head shave, but most of the time I just use clippers. Now I can't stand it when my hair grows past the stable stage. You look amazing with your head shaved, I hope you rock it with no wig and have fun with your selection of wigs. Tips; it gets cold, and hot and things can stick to it like Spiderman. Sunscreeeeeen it. Also, I find I bump my head on things a lot more. Welcome to the club!

I developed alopecia areata at 4 and hid it for years. 5 years ago I finally gave in as it worsened to alopecia universalis and buzzed what was left. I am totally bald now except a few tiny hairs and honestly it was so liberating to let go and not have to worry about it. You're beautiful and it looks so natural. I think it showcases the strength in your other features.
