I'm about to celebrate 7 years in recovery, and I realized that it coincides with the 7th anniversary of your son's passing. I got sober because I had to do it for myself, but I stay sober for my children, my family, and for so many who didn't make it out—including my dad. I can't begin to imagine the pain you've endured. Thank you for sharing your journey so openly. It keeps me humble, reminds me never to take my recovery for granted, and inspires me to keep moving forward every day.

Wise words. Seeing your posts make me smile. I’m sorry about the loss of your son. Whenever I am speaking to any of my daughters on the phone the last thing I say to them is, I love you. .. we never say goodbye. The last thing they hear is I love you.

I just lost my daughter 2 months ago. She passed away during what was supposed to be a simple surgery. The artery leading to her heart rupture as they were almost done. She was 26 💔

I’ve always loved your honesty and rawness. My brother was an addict and homeless for years. I thought I was going to end up an only child. God saved him more than once and I’m forever grateful he’s sober and a father to three now ❤️
