While this scripture is powerful. The main point we should focus is verse 8: “but you must defend those who are helpless and have no hope.” Because they lost all hope, most people will look away and not even act or acknowledge them and that is what God does NOT wants us to do. So check on your friends/family/ love ones and help lift their spirit and hope. 🙏

ere’s a comment you could use: Proverbs 31:4, 5 doesn’t teach that alcohol is always wrong. Rather, it shows that there are times when abstaining is the wise course. Kings and judges needed a clear mind because people’s lives and justice depended on their decisions. If they became impaired, they could “forget what is decreed and pervert the cause of the afflicted.” The same principle applies today. Whenever we have responsibilities that affect others or require sound judgment, it is wise to avoid anything that could cloud our thinking. A similar principle is found at Leviticus 10:8, 9, where the priests were not to drink alcohol before carrying out their sacred duties so they could exercise good judgment.
