All she did was create an analogy between which was relevant to the World Cup! Many people are getting into the sport for the first time and there is no shame in creating a visual aid to both engage and help understand the sport. Her explanation made total sense and was a fun and engaging option for those who both use makeup and wanted learn how the game works, and it was a little twist to a regular explanation. If those two things are not applicable, then scroll! She used 0 degradable language to women, but people wanted to find a way to drag her down and humiliate her because people have adopted some sort of superiority complex over her and think they can hide behind a screen and try to belittle her. We all know that tons of creators have made similar makeup analogy type videos and no one has batted an eye. You can’t argue that she was trying to dehumanize women by using a stereotypical interest, when the fact is many women use and enjoy makeup, maybe people who are hating need to realize the internal misogyny that is associating makeup as “lesser and degrading” activity when instead we should be changing the narrative to make makeup a proud and empowering source to women.
