@randomthida: Long personal text alert: "Cause you’re the reason I survived" this lyric literally describes what Jin means to me. Jin holds a special place in my heart as my comfort person. Don’t get me wrong all 7 of them comfort me in their own unique ways. But Jin gave me the most comfort while the other members were still in the military after he became the first one to return. Without taking any real break, he comforted us from day one as a civilian with his hug event. Then came Run Seokjin, variety show appearances, livestreams and even his own solo tour. He never stopped giving back to us. I got to see Jin for the first time in Amsterdam during his Run Seokjin Tour and all I can say is that it was one of the best days of my life. I laughed, I cried and I made memories I’ll cherish forever. The moment I realized I was actually seeing him in real life and so close because I had floor seats I genuinely couldn’t believe it. Then I got to see him a second time, this time together with the other 6 members. When I rewatched my concert videos from Munich, I realized something I hadn’t even noticed in the moment I started crying the second Jin appeared on the big screen. I was just so happy to see him and to see all 7 of them together again, laughing, being goofy and genuinely happy with each other. Their happiness is my happiness. Jin you’ll probably never know how grateful I truly am for everything you’ve done. You were there for me during one of the darkest time of my life last year. It wasn’t simply because the other members were in the military. My personal life had completely fallen apart. I was depressed, almost gave up my life, barely had contact with anyone. Yet somehow, just by doing what you do as an idol through your content, your livestreams, your music, your humor and your warmth you made me smile again. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for you either. There were probably days when you were exhausted, overwhelmed, lonely or full of doubts. But despite all of that, you still greeted ARMY with a smile and gave us strength. Thank you for everything Jin. Thank you for helping me survive when I didn’t think I could. I’ll never be able to put into words how much that means to me. I hope one day you realize just how many lives you’ve touched simply by being yourself.
