Giliard Ferreira :
This is something I also discovered about myself.
First, I started noticing how people I knew would come and go, and every time we met again, I could see that their lives had moved forward. Year after year, I began to realize that I seemed to be living in a frozen reality. Nothing changed in my life. Nothing.
I kept asking myself, Why? Why? Why? I became angry about it.
Then something cracked open, and I began to understand my own reality from a completely different perspective.
I noticed that I was always living in “later.” I would think, When this happens, I’ll travel. Or, When I have this or that, then I’ll go do the things I want.
Relationships? My whole focus was on the chase—the hunt, if you will—not on the end result. It was almost as if, once I had something, it lost its excitement. So I was constantly manifesting the chase but never actually keeping anything.
Deep down, I believed I always had to wait for the perfect moment or the perfect conditions. In other words, I was never ready today. So I kept manifesting more waiting… just like the sign at the pub:
“Free beer tomorrow.”
Now I find a quiet place, plug both of my ears, and go into absolute silence. I sit there for an hour.
It’s the best part of my day.
