They always talk about how he “doesn’t look happy” but he has a beautiful girlfriend, a thriving career, and even said himself that he feels free after transitioning. It really shouldn’t have been a shock when he came out, he was always tomboyish before coming out.

My dad started misgendering him and talking shit about him, saying that he couldn't be Achilles bc he didn't have the right body for it while showing me a video where they called him a "confused girl", I usually don't argue with him bc he can be insufferable but it made my blood boil so much that I confronted him about it, I'm so sick of people like him acting like they can forbid trans people from appearing in any piece of media or even in public

'it's because he was sexualised before' 'it's because he was well known' its because he's a trans man. Even if people had no idea he was trans, the issues that result in Elliot Page getting transphobic hate would still persist, regardless of any other circumstances surrounding it.

Not only that, the cis men who hate on him are incredibly stupid. I recently saw one talking trash about him, saying that FTM transitions are awful and that he wasn't attractive or beauty at all, and I was like... "Maybe it's because you're straight...?" Hate always stems from ignorance.
