Everyone’s deck is going to be a little bit different, but to start: 35 Trainers 16 Pokemon 9 Energy This is a ratio that worked really well for me starting out, but I have switched out cards pretty often to make the deck more effective during gameplay. Depending on the energy cost for your Pokémon, you may need more more or less energy and fewer Pokémon. When choosing supporter cards, it is important to make sure that there is a good balance of searching your deck, recovering cards from your discard pile, and disruption. Building your first deck for Pokémon TCG, can be very overwhelming. My suggestion is to start with a single energy type to get used to design designing strategy, and play it often so that you are able to make changes.
