Been trying to give my baby at least one bottle a day to prep for when I return to work/she starts daycare. Problem is she only gets about 1-1.5 oz before she falls asleep at the bottle. Suggestions? Then a few min later she’ll wake and want to nurse. Using Dr. Browns narrow with preemie nipple.

They teach this side lying paced feeding in the NICU for the exact same reasons, we learned this for our nicu baby and still do it

I have a question…. Maybe you can help… I plan to breastfeed but I also want to offer bottle at night time so my husband can help with baby boy… how often would I pump?

Is NUK a good bottle? My newborn is having a hard time latching since he was born a few weeks early, so pumping for now but waiting for our appt with lactation next week!

would you angle the bottle down when they pause to breathe, then give them a second without milk in the nipple when they start to suck again? or just leave it?

I just pulled a slow flow on my baby’s bottle and she seems to be okay and still feeds off of me , unfortunately since birth she has needed a nipple shield I assume my nips don’t form correctly for her to latch but it does make feeding a litttle harder ! Any suggestions with baby’s that need nipples shields ?

Why not just use the right nipples…? The preemie and/or transition nipples from Dr Browns are uuuuber slow. Like slower than when I was breastfeeding and none of that pace feeding trouble!

what do you do when there is little milk, you need to tilt the bottle up and baby's neck need to go back a lot. the first position feels uncomfortable, let someone try it on yourself, the hand hold is hard and all the pressure is there. how to pacefeed outside the house?

I do this with my twins laying down, it is life saver feeding them on my own! My mother in law criticized HARD! Like thats new that’s not how you do it. Like why can you just listen and of course she didn’t 🙄

This is why I changed the nip on the bottle to preemie size flow as well since I'm bf and formula feeding so flow is similar
