Absolutely love that this works for a lot of ppl. It doesn't work for everyone though. I work in finance and while someone is telling me about their financial loss, deceased partner, or that they were scammed out of $$$, I can't let a cute kid say "hi". Kids should also be taught they can't always be addressed in every moment unless its an emergency.

I use to have 7-9pm board meetings and I said I would attend but I’m a single mom so you get to watch me cook dinner and my daughter do homework. Never had a problem.

My meetings used to get a moment of silence for when my kids would be shrieking in the background and then someone would ask after the silence “okay guys, you good? We need mom back now” 😂

I got a puppy during Covid and he thinks zoom calls are for him. I work remotely and at least once a day he joins a zoom because he wants to say hi. Everyone knows if my pup wants to make an appearance he’s gonna!
