the reason it sounded funny like Chinese is because that's not how you say the words, they are just saying the word as the letter and not really speaking the Ojibwe language, because they are just learning it' but not learning the real way of speaking that Ojibwe language!! I know I grew up around my grandparents that spoke it fluently and they are learning it but just speaking how they understand that of the alphabet!!

im comanche (nʉmʉnʉʉ) and learning our native tongue, nʉmʉ tekwapʉ̠, which is a different alphabet. but seeing yalls language is CRAZY like i cant imagine how difficult it is to learn if you're not emerged. my hats off to yall for practicing the language, its amazing that it isn't dying. our tribe is grasping at straws to jeep our language alive. we have less than 50 fluent people left in the world. :(
