that was precisely what I have been trying to say to my partner (albeit, not as eloquently as you) he is the type of person who beats himself up for just resting when it's needed. he feels guilty for taking care of himself. he attempts to carry the world on his shoulder because in his eyes, he is worthless without being capable of doing so. I don't know who told him that to be worthy it had to be earned but I swear to God that if it takes me the rest of our lives together, I will make sure he knows that by his very existence he is worthy of love, happiness, peace and rest. he is the very reason I wake up every morning. he's a good, kind man. a genuinely good human, a wonderful friend, brother, son and partner. he is loved beyond measure just because he is who he is. not because of what he can do. thankyou for putting into words what I couldn't xxx
